2007 Prince Gallitzin Cross Award Recipient

Deacon Michael Ondik,  Good Shepherd Parish, State College  was nominated by the parish council.  “We believe that Mike is an outstanding example of the qualities exhibited by Prince Demetrius Gallitzin and well deserving of this prestigious honor,” the council wrote.   “Deacon Mike is a shining example and a role model of how service to community and ultimately to God is accomplished.  Some examples of Mike’s service to the community and his living of the gospel involve Scout projects, visitation of the sick, and his prison ministry.”  The nominators stated “Mike is an outstanding example of what a sincere Catholic should aspire to be.”
