2007 Prince Gallitzin Cross Award Recipient

Conventual Franciscan Father Anthony F. Spilka,  pastor of Saints Casimir and Emerich Parish, and Saint Columba Parish, both in Johnstown.   Nominated by the parish council chairpersons from the two parishes, it was noted that Father Spilka “has clearly demonstrated by the evangelizing spirit” of Father Gallitzin by “fostering new life into two older parishes, helping the parishioners to grow spiritually and temporally through Christian interaction.  He has been a strong advocate of our parishes working together in liturgical, educational and social endeavors.”
