2006 Prince Gallitzin Cross Award Recipient

Lois A. Krug was nominated by her pastor, Monsignor Arnold Gaus of Holy Name Parish in Ebensburg.  She “is a Catholic by choice, embracing the faith wholeheartedly more than 50 years ago,” prior to her marriage, Monsignor Gaus said.  Involved in many parish ministries, and noted for a strong devotion to the Eucharist, Mrs. Krug is described as “even tempered, gentle and soft spoken, full of fun and good humor.  She radiates Christian joy.  She has a spirit of stewardship, a love for her faith, and a genuine love for the Church.”  She has worked as a paid employee and as a volunteer at Holy Name School , and in her volunteer service to the parish seeks out “the lowliest tasks,” according to Monsignor Gaus.  “Her faithful Catholic witness is extended into a life of humble service in imitation of Jesus,” he stated.
